Majority of us move through this spectrum at different times throughout our lives. There are many reasons that we fluctuate:

 

-Your normal passage from family of origin to independent adult-

-Relationship breakdown-

-Losing touch with your Values and acting out of character-

-Career change-

-Change in parenting roles-

-Ages and stages of life-

-Self-esteem issues-

-Peer group difficulties-

-Financial shifts-

-Oppression-

-Violence-

-Bullying-

 

These results are meant to be a guide to give your insight and a reflection at the end of the SOS Course.


REACTIVE (16-20) - At one end we are struggling and we may feel ‘Broken’ like we no longer have a SENSE OF SELF and are no longer living by our VALUES.  Sometimes our relationships are unhealthy and messy, and we need BOUNDARIES and EMOTIONAL LITERACY to COMMUNICATE what we need in life and the relationships around us. We seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over and feel isolated and alone and perhaps even hopeless that we can make a change. This will leave us feeling lonely, disconnected and perhaps even depressed or anxious. In this stage our needs are not getting met and we need to change our MINDSET to feel better. 

SHIFTING (12-15) - During this period we are starting to make choices and be aware of our MINDSET but its hard to maintain. We know that we need more tools and strategies and COMMUNICATION skills and BOUNDARIES to change our relationships, life and self for the better. This feels like a scary prospect so sometimes we faulter. We are still unsure of our SENSE OF SELF and how to be true to our VALUES so we can often feel stuck.   However, we are starting to take some ownership with where we are and typically, we know we need confidence and strategies around EMOTIONAL LITERACY. 

HEALING (8-11) - Perhaps you are in the HEALING stage where you are making CHANGES and starting to implement BOUNDARIES and seeing that they are actually working! However, there is resistance around you and perhaps people in your life are starting to drop off (which is a good thing long term) but hard short term because its scary. But you are starting to be this very real taste of control and confident around your life and relationships. You are seeking out more and more information you feel like you cannot get enough information but perhaps unsure about what information you need. MINDSET still is a work in progress.

CONSCIOUS (4-7) - During this phase we are building confidence we are getting better with our BOUNDARIES and COMMUNICATION which is improving the relationships around us. We typically can notice our faulty MINDSET however we still need to work on it. Our VALUES are vaguely clear, and we typically would like to be more consistent with our SENSE OF SELF and EMOTIONAL LITERACY 

UNBREAKABLE (0-3) - Finally the pinnacle where you feel like you can COMMUNICATE confidently, and your relationships have healthy BOUNDARIES and you utilise EMOTIONAL LITERACY to get your needs met. You feel like you have good SENSE OF SELF and live by your VALUES more than not. You love to learn and improve yourself and you are always looking for tools and strategies to continue to be the BEST that you can be.
